Plain-language summary: We collect the information you submit through the contact form and limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the website. We do not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use targeted advertising, or install analytics or advertising cookies. This summary does not replace the complete policy below.
1. Scope and Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Elevate Clarity Consulting LLC (“Elevate Clarity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through elevateclarity.net, email communications initiated through the website, and related pre-engagement business communications. Elevate Clarity is a professional consulting and document support company located in Connecticut, United States.
This policy does not govern a third-party website, platform or service that we do not control. A separate service agreement or project-specific notice may apply when you become a client or provide documents for an agreed engagement. If another notice conflicts with this policy, the more specific notice controls for the information and activity it covers.
2. Notice at Collection
The following table describes the categories of personal information this website may collect, why we collect them, the general sources and our expected retention approach. We collect only what is reasonably relevant to the stated purpose. We do not use the public contact form to request Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, payment-card details, account credentials, health information or similarly sensitive records.
| Category | Examples and source | Purpose | Typical retention approach |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers and contact information | Name, email address, optional phone number and optional company name that you submit. | Respond to an inquiry, identify the request and communicate about potential services. | Kept while the inquiry is active and afterward only as reasonably needed for records, disputes, security or legal obligations. |
| Inquiry and professional information | Selected service, message content, business context and information you voluntarily provide. | Understand your request, assess whether we can help, prepare a proposed scope and prevent misuse. | Based on the nature of the inquiry and whether it becomes a client engagement. |
| Internet or device information | IP address, browser, device type, referring page, requested page, date/time and server log data generated by hosting infrastructure. | Deliver the website, maintain availability, detect abuse, troubleshoot and protect security. | Generally retained according to the hosting provider’s operational and security schedule. |
| Cookie and preference information | A PHP session identifier on the contact page and your locally stored cookie preference. | CSRF protection, rate limiting, form status and remembering privacy choices. | The session cookie normally expires when the browser session ends. The locally stored preference remains until cleared or replaced. |
Sale and targeted advertising: We do not currently sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or process personal information for targeted advertising. If these practices change, we will update this notice and provide legally required choices before beginning the new processing.
3. Information You Provide
Contact and service inquiries
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the information included in the communication. Required form fields are name, email address, service category and a message. Phone number and company name are optional. Please provide only information needed to describe your request.
Documents and engagement information
Do not send confidential or sensitive documents through the public contact form. If we determine that a request may be a fit, we may provide separate instructions for document exchange. Information processed during an actual engagement may be subject to a service agreement, confidentiality terms or a more specific notice.
Information about another person
If you provide information about another person, you represent that you have authority or another lawful basis to provide it for the stated purpose. Do not submit another person’s sensitive information through the public form.
4. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our server and hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical data needed to provide the requested page and protect the service. This can include IP address, general device and browser information, referring and requested URLs, timestamps, response status and security events. We do not currently use a dedicated analytics service, advertising pixel, session replay tool or social-media tracking embed.
The contact page uses a temporary session identifier to provide CSRF protection, basic rate limiting and form-status messages. Cookie choices are stored in your browser’s local storage rather than sent to our server. See the Cookie Policy for details.
5. Purposes for Processing Personal Information
Depending on the interaction, we may use personal information to:
- receive, authenticate and respond to inquiries;
- understand the requested service and determine whether it fits our capabilities;
- communicate about scope, information requirements, timing and next steps;
- provide a requested proposal or prepare to enter into a service agreement;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot and secure the website;
- detect spam, fraud, malicious activity and violations of our terms;
- maintain appropriate business, correspondence and compliance records;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- comply with applicable law, lawful process and regulatory requirements; and
- carry out another purpose disclosed when information is collected, with consent where required.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects through automated profiling on this website. We do not use contact-form information to create advertising profiles.
6. When Information May Be Disclosed
Service providers and processors
Hosting, email, security, technical support and professional service providers may process information on our behalf to perform contracted functions. They are not authorized by us to use the information for unrelated purposes.
Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is required by applicable law, subpoena, court order or other valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect rights and safety, enforce agreements or respond to a security incident.
Business changes
If Elevate Clarity is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or transfer of business assets, information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
With your direction
We may disclose information to a recipient you identify or for another purpose you specifically authorize.
We do not currently disclose personal information to data brokers, advertising networks or third parties for their own targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell personal information.
7. Cookies, Local Storage and Privacy Signals
On your first visit, the cookie preference banner lets you choose essential-only use, allow optional categories or review detailed settings. Optional analytics and preference technologies are currently inactive. Choosing an optional category does not by itself install a vendor or tracking tool; a future implementation would also require an updated policy and technical configuration that reads your stored preference.
You can reopen “Your Privacy Choices” in the footer at any time. The site also detects the browser-provided Global Privacy Control signal. Because we do not sell data or use targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising processing to stop today. If those practices change, we intend to treat a recognized, legally applicable opt-out signal as an opt-out, subject to law and technical capability.
8. Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and whether a privacy law applies to Elevate Clarity or the relevant processing, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access or obtain a copy of personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion, subject to lawful exceptions;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and
- not receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
These rights are not absolute. Applicable law may allow or require us to retain information, deny a request, limit the information provided, or verify identity before responding.
Connecticut residents
Where the Connecticut Data Privacy Act applies, Connecticut consumers may have rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling. A consumer may also have a right to appeal a decision on a request. We will explain how to submit an appeal if we deny a request that carries an appeal right.
California residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have rights to know, access, delete and correct personal information, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information and receive non-discriminatory treatment. We do not currently sell or share personal information as those terms are used for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Other US state rights
Residents of other states may have similar rights under applicable state privacy laws. We will evaluate a request under the law that applies to the requester and the relevant processing.
9. How to Submit a Privacy Request
Email support@elevateclarity.net with the subject “Privacy Request.” State your jurisdiction, the right you want to exercise and the email address or interaction associated with the request. Do not send identity documents or sensitive records unless we specifically request them through an appropriate method.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. If we cannot verify a request, we may be unable to provide specific information or act on it. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may request proof of authorization and direct verification with the consumer. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If no statutory period applies, we will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes, taking into account the nature and sensitivity of the information, the relationship, operational needs, security, applicable limitation periods and legal obligations. An inquiry that does not become an engagement may be deleted or archived after it is no longer active. Records connected with an engagement may be retained longer under the agreement, ordinary business-record practices or applicable law.
11. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information, such as HTTPS transmission, access controls, server security headers, contact-form validation, anti-spam controls and limiting the information requested publicly. No system, transmission or storage method is completely secure. You should not use the public contact form for highly sensitive information.
If we identify a security incident involving personal information, we will evaluate and respond to it in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.
12. Children’s Privacy
This website and our services are directed to businesses and adults, not children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action. Parents or guardians should not use the public form to send a child’s sensitive information.
13. Do Not Track
There is no single industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals. The site does not currently respond separately to DNT because it does not install behavioral advertising or analytics trackers. Global Privacy Control is addressed above.
14. International Visitors
Elevate Clarity is based in the United States. If you access the website from another country, information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. This website is not represented as specifically directed to or established for regulated services in another jurisdiction.
15. Third-Party Links
Links to third-party resources are provided for convenience. We do not control their privacy, security or content. Review the third party’s notice before providing information.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. If a change materially alters how previously collected information is used, we will take additional steps where required by law.
